Position Overview

The CRM (Salesforce) Program Manager is responsible for leading the strategic planning, governance, adoption, and continuous improvement of the Salesforce platform across the sales organization. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technical execution, ensuring Salesforce supports business growth, sales productivity, and data-driven decision-making. The Program Manager serves as a cross-functional leader, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, IT, and external partners.

The position will require travel nationwide and Canada up to 50% of the time.

What You'll Do:

Salesforce Program Leadership

  • Own the Salesforce roadmap in alignment with sales and business priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance Salesforce capabilities and adoption.
  • Manage end-to-end Salesforce projects: planning, requirements, execution, testing, rollout, and change management.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams (internal or external).

User Enablement & Adoption

  • Develop and lead onboarding, training, and upskilling programs for sales teams.
  • Drive adoption through documentation, in-app guidance, and enablement resources.
  • Gather and prioritize feedback from end-users to inform roadmap and process improvements.

Data & Process Management

  • Define and enforce standards for data integrity, account segmentation, and pipeline management.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations on sales processes, forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking within Salesforce.
  • Monitor CRM usage to ensure compliance and identify gaps or opportunities.

Reporting & Insights

  • Partner with the Sales Operations or directly build dashboards and reports for leadership and sales reps.
  • Provide visibility into performance KPIs, sales activity, lead management, and opportunity progression.
  • Identify trends and recommend operational adjustments based on data insights.

System Administration & Governance

  • Oversee platform configuration, releases, and integrations (with support from admins or IT as needed).
  • Manage relationships with Salesforce support and third-party vendors or consultants.
  • Maintain platform governance around user access, security, and change management.

Skills We Are Seeking:

  • Proven experience with transforming and digitalizing the CRM for maximization of usage and business value across the entire CRM ecosystem
  • Experience with product life cycle management - product vision, product roadmap, market strategy and prioritization
  • Ability to define KPIs, outcomes, maintain budget
  • Experience with building user/customer profiles (i.e. personas), understanding how to identify user/customer pain points across the entire customer lifecycle
  • Proven experience in data management to deliver actionable insights and guide decision making
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
  • Prefers to work independently with occasional guidance and support
  • Demonstrated ability to influence many stakeholders across the organization, without direct authority
  • Driven and highly organized with excellent time-management skills, strong business ethics
  • 3 to 5 years experience with Salesforce required
  • Ability to Travel: 35-50%

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • +7–10 years proven experience supporting wholesale /distribution sales and marketing experience through complex, journey-based sales and loyalty lifecycles
