You'll play a crucial role in characterizing and testing high-speed electro-optical devices and developing innovative test platforms for both R&D and manufacturing. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • Design and execute experiments to characterize photonic and electronic integrated circuits.
  • Collaborate with the design teams to incorporate test results into improved designs.
  • Develop automated wafer and chip test stations for accurate and repeatable data acquisition.
  • Integrate and automate commercial hardware platforms for use in test platforms.
  • Design, evaluate, and improve custom hardware using computer-aided design (CAD) software and rapid prototyping tools.
  • Support the adaptation of the test station from the R&D phase into high-volume manufacturing test platforms

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, physics or a related field + 3-5 years' experience
  • Masters or higher level graduate degree strongly preferred.
  • Laboratory experience with high speed RF measurement equipment (High speed VNA, ESA, RF power meter)
  • Experience testing high speed TIA's and Drivers or other similar electronic components and systems.
  • Understanding of Coherent optical transmission desirable.
  • Experience developing software in Python, MATLAB, or C++
  • Ability to analyze measurement data to extract parameters and performance metrics
  • Experience building and debugging complicated test systems
