About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Hardware Testing Engineer to join our multidisciplinary LifeTech engineering team. In this role, you will focus on testing and validation of electronic and embedded hardware components used in life science or medical devices. You will design and implement automated test systems, execute verification protocols, and ensure that all activities align with relevant industry regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans and protocols for electronic and embedded hardware systems.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated and manual test cases for continuous and regression testing.
- Perform functional, integration, stress, and environmental tests on hardware prototypes and final products.
- Work closely with hardware, firmware, and software engineers to identify defects early and ensure testability of designs.
- Document test procedures, results, and deviations in compliance with quality management systems.
- Support design verification (DV) and design validation (DV) processes aligned with applicable norms (e.g., ISO 13485).
- Collaborate with QA and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with FDA, CE, and other regulatory requirements.
- Participate in root cause analysis and assist in failure investigations using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators.
- Continuously improve testing processes and contribute to building a robust test infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in hardware testing, preferably in a regulated industry (medical devices, automotive, aerospace, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools (preferably National Instruments DAQ and TestStand, Python).
- Proficient in using lab equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators).
- Experience with electric signals measurement.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with continuous integration (CI) systems.
- Good understanding of hardware-related standards and regulations (e.g., IEC 61010, ISO 14971).
- Experience working under ISO 13485 or FDA 21 CFR Part 820 environments.
- Exposure to medical, biotech, or diagnostics devices.
