JOB SUMMARY
The Sr Marketing Data Analyst supports strategic marketing initiatives by transforming complex datasets into meaningful insights. This role plays a critical part in improving marketing efficiency and customer engagement through detailed reporting, data visualization, and analysis. By partnering across departments, this position enhances decision-making and drives data-informed strategies that contribute to organizational success.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain performance reports on leads, customer profiles, bookings, website traffic, and marketing channels to support departmental conversion goals.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses related to customer behavior, competitive trends, and promotional effectiveness using key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Extract and analyze data from marketing databases using SQL to identify actionable business insights.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of marketing data and reporting systems, making data accessible and decision ready.
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of marketing measurement systems, such as media mix models and website analytics tools.
- Provide audience segmentation and campaign performance insights to optimize targeting and return on investment (ROI).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to improve reporting tools and resolve data-related challenges.
- Support annual and campaign-specific planning with demand forecasting, scenario modeling, and strategic budget analysis.
- Lead efforts to automate KPIs, develop dashboards, and deliver data presentations to stakeholders.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Data Analytics/Business Intelligence, Marketing, Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, or related field.
EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years of experience in analytical or quantitative roles involving business analysis or marketing analytics.
- Hands-on experience building data visualizations and reporting solutions using platforms such as Tableau or similar BI tools.
- Experience working with ETL processes involving complex data is preferred but not required.
- Experience in the travel and hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
- Proficient in SQL, Tableau, and advanced Excel.
- Experience in Adobe Analytics preferred.
- Experience in R/Python is preferred but not required.
- Experienced in developing automated tools and solutions.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders within and outside Marketing Analytics
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Self-motivated, quality-oriented, delivery-oriented, and able to self-prioritize work.
- Passion for using data to solve complex business questions and drive business solutions with a strong desire to build a career in the field.
