Create impact as a Senior Analyst, Group Strategy & Insights.

Your Role

Join IAG’s Group Strategy & Insights team and play a key role in shaping the future of our organisation. In this role, you’ll help uncover the trends, challenges, and opportunities that influence IAG’s long-term direction. Drawing on evidence-based research and the insights of internal experts, you’ll explore the broader environment to deliver meaningful analysis that supports strategic thinking and decision-making.

You’ll work on high-impact projects that contribute to the development and evaluation of key business strategies. By analysing business data within our strategic governance frameworks, you’ll help surface insights that inform stronger, more aligned decisions—connecting the dots between what’s happening externally and what it means for IAG.

Collaboration and communication are at the heart of this role. You’ll partner with a diverse range of colleagues across the business to gather perspectives, share knowledge, and shape well-rounded, actionable insights. Your ability to translate complex information into clear, thoughtful analysis will support our leaders in navigating the future with confidence and clarity.

This is a permanent role, and we welcome applicants based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney).

About You

• You bring tertiary qualifications and at least 3 years of experience in business, strategy, consulting, or a related area. We value a variety of backgrounds that contribute to strategic thinking and insight.
• You’re a strong problem solver who enjoys breaking down complex challenges into structured, manageable parts, with a track record of turning ideas into action.
• You have experience in strategic analysis, with sound financial understanding, and are confident in drawing insights from data to support informed decision-making.
• Your communication skills—both written and verbal—enable you to clearly share ideas and insights with a range of audiences, helping others understand the story behind the data.
• You enjoy working with others and have experience collaborating across teams and functions. You know how to build trusted relationships and align diverse perspectives to support shared outcomes.
• You may bring advanced skills in modelling, data visualisation, or strategy consulting. If not, you’re eager to grow these capabilities and are comfortable learning new tools and approaches to support your work.
