Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for troubleshooting and issue resolution in Samsung 4G and 5G products to ensure all customer tickets are addressed in pre-defined Service Level Agreement (SLAs). Responsible for end-to-end performance assurance to ensure company’s 4G and 5G products, including DU, RU, CU and AU, are fully compliant with customer’s network design. Conduct trials and tune parameters to improve the overall network performance and propose optimized parameters and present to customer with detailed reports. Provide issue resolution in multivendor deployment across numerous interfaces, including Open CPRI (ORAN), S1-MME, S1-U and X2 IOT with incumbent EPC vendors. Evaluate the network performance by trending and analyzing key KPIs. Conduct deep-dive customer sessions for Root Cause Analysis reviews. Collaborate with HQ development and other teams to ensure issue resolution, customer product requirements and/or performance compliance. Present technical and non-technical ideas in a logical, compelling manner in a written format and verbally in both small and large group settings. Lead all technical discussions on Samsung products/scheduler related features with several customer vertical organization including 4G/5G RAN Development groups and RAN performance groups. Author technical proposals, technical research, white papers, and operator network design.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as Engineer III, System Structure Design or related occupation in the telecommunications engineering. Of the 5 years must have at least 2 years of experience in the following : (1) 4G/5G Call Processing including RRC, S1-MME, S1-U, X2, RLC, MAC, PHY protocols; (2) Wireless technology & procedures including LTE, Volte and 5G; (3) 3GPP RAN product architecture, design, implementation and performance improvements (KPIs); (4) RF antenna technologies & network optimizations; (5) Massive MIMO, New Waveforms, LTE-NR interworking & co-existence, and 5G Numerologies; (6) System engineering activities including feature requirements identification, feature description documentation, parameter optimization, performance analysis, test strategy creation, and problem troubleshooting; and (7) Hybrid Beamforming, Massive MIMO, New Waveforms, LTE-NR interworking & co-existence, and 4G/5G Numerologies. Travel Requirement: up to 25% domestic travel required.
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours/week.
