Sommaire

Au sein de l’équipe de développement de produits, vous serez responsable de la conception des produits d’aide à la chirurgie orthopédique développés par la R&D avant leur mise en marché. Pour ce faire, vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec les équipes de développement logiciel, d’instrumentation et/ou d’électronique et/ou de robotique tout au long du développement des produits.

Rôle et responsabilités

• Analyser les besoins auprès des clients et de l’équipe marketing et définir les spécifications du système reliées aux volets électroniques, mécaniques (instrumentations) et logiciels.
• Identifier et évaluer les risques reliés aux spécifications techniques.
• Rédiger des documents qualité se rapportant à la conception et au développement de produits et veiller au respect des normes s’appliquant au développement de façon à garantir la qualité et la sécurité des produits.
• Participer à la vérification et à la validation des produits, incluant la définition et la réalisation des protocoles de test pour chacune des composantes et sous-composantes du système.
• Participer à l’implantation des systèmes, ainsi qu’à la formation des utilisateurs.
• Participer à l’ingénierie d'utilisabilité avec les chirurgiens.
• Rester à l’affût des avancées technologiques du domaine et mettre tout en œuvre pour atteindre une fiabilité et une qualité de produits supérieure aux normes, permettant ainsi à l’entreprise de conserver sa notoriété et demeurer la référence dans l’industrie.

Compétences et habiletés

• Très bonne connaissance en tests logiciels, automatisation des tests et des connaissances fonctionnelles en programmation (Python, C++)
• Sens du service à la clientèle développé et facilité à interagir avec des collaborateurs, tant à l’interne qu’à l’externe
• Excellente capacité de gestion des priorités, des échéanciers et sens de la planification
• Excellent esprit d’analyse et capacité à œuvrer dans un environnement de fine pointe et en pleine évolution
• Bilingue, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.

Éducation et expérience

• Baccalauréat en génie (génie biomédical un atout)
• 1 à 7 années d’expérience en développement de produits, idéalement de produits médicaux
• Expérience au sein d’un domaine hautement réglementé (médical, aéronautique et pharmaceutique)

Summary

Within the product development team, you will be responsible for the design of orthopedic surgery products developed by R&D before they are marketed. To do this, you will work closely with the software development team, instrumentation and/or electronics and/or robotics teams throughout product development.

Role and responsibilities

• Analyze the needs with customers and the marketing team and define the system specifications related to the electronic, mechanical (instrumentation) and software components.
• Identify and assess the risks related to the technical specifications.
• Write quality documents relating to the design and development of products and ensure compliance with the standards applicable to development in order to guarantee the quality and safety of the products.
• Participate in the verification and validation of products, including the definition and implementation of test protocols for each of the components and sub-components of the system.
• Participate in the implementation of systems, as well as user training.
• Participate in usability engineering with surgeons.
• Remain on the lookout for technological advances in the field and make every effort to achieve reliability and product quality above standards, thus allowing the company to maintain its notoriety and remain a leader of the industry.

Skills and Abilities

• Very good knowledge of software testing, test automation and functional programming knowledge (Python, C++)
• Sense of customer service developed and ease in interacting with collaborators, both internally and externally
• Excellent ability to manage priorities, deadlines, and sense of planning
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to work in a state-of-the-art and evolving environment
• Bilingual, both orally and in writing.

Education and experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (biomedical engineering an asset)
• 1 to 7 years of experience in product development, ideally medical products
• Experience in a highly regulated field (medical, aeronautical, and pharmaceutical)
