Position Description:
As a Solution Architect, you will provide technical thought leadership and contribute to the business vision. You will have the autonomy to make key design decisions and influence technology investments and product roadmaps. This role requires technical breadth and depth in application architecture, software engineering, and SaaS solutions, as well as a proven track record of enterprise delivery.
In this role, you will support key product groups and products across our enterprise, partnering with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Principal Engineers to ensure the holistic direction of a product is enabled by enterprise technology investments. Additionally, solution architects are critical in ensuring that technology solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, standards, and reference architectures.
To be successful, you should be a highly motivated individual with an innovative and strategic mindset, a bias for action, proactive communication skills, and the ability to form and communicate a strong perspective. You must be able to articulate and translate complex technical topics to stakeholders, help lift the technical competency of teams, collaborate with internal/external partners, ensure alignment with architectural principles and standards, and drive tangible business outcomes.
While a solution architect may be deployed across variety of different product teams areas, this role will initially focus on our Supply Product Group emphasizing technology and solutions to enable pharmaceutical drug manufacturing and quality. This role will be critical to modernizing supply chain systems. A background in designing and delivering IT systems to support manufacturing and life sciences is preferred.

Basic Qualifications:
o Modern application architecture methodologies (Service Orientated Architecture, API-Centric Design, Twelve-Factor App, FAIR, etc.)
o Cloud Native design patterns, with a preference towards Microsoft Azure / Google Cloud
o “DevSecOps” culture, including modern software development practices, covering Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), etc.
o Experience with interface implementation between SaaS providers (leveraging Integration-as-a-service frameworks).
o Experience supporting digital platforms, including Integrations, Release Management, Regression Testing, Integrations, Data Obfuscation, etc.
o Experience scaling an “API-Ecosystem”, designing, and implementing “API-First” integration patterns.

1. Good base across some level of the cloud providers - GCP, AWS, or Azure - designing and deploying and influencing cloud solutions
a. Currently using Azure and GCP
2. Coding background is not required but wouldn’t hurt, been hands on in the past. Web applications are Javascript heavy in frontend and backend is a plus
3. Data side is more data engineer/architect - python and becoming a big data bricks shop - a really good bonus
4. Deploying SaSS solutions
5. Not lifting and shifting traditional work loads and running them on the cloud, want someone working in a cloud native way
6. Working in a modern way, influencing
7. Cloud plus supplier, manufacturing
a. Integration solutions, ERPs, integrating with the cloud
8. Someone who has the right mentality
9. Exposure to /working with physical hardware in labs, manufacturing, warehousing - making controllers talk from and infrastructure perspective
o Wearing a lot of hats
o Ability to know the technologies and how it works, could do it yourself, instructor, staying higher level, influencing technical decisions for product teams
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $90.00/hr.
