In this role you will work on the development of mixed signal ICs for automotive motor control - ranging from driver ICs to SoC solutions. As a key member of our design team, you will play a critical role in integrating various intellectual property (IP) blocks into a single, functional system-on-chip (SoC) design. Your expertise will be instrumental in defining and implementing the chip's architecture and floorplan, ensuring compatibility and communication between IP blocks, and managing power, performance, and area (PPA) trade-offs. In your new role you will:

• Act as technical lead in cross-functional product development teams building ICs for automotive motor control - ranging from driver ICs to SoC solutions
• Integrate digital, analog and mixed signal IP on IC/SoC level
• As Chip Top-Level engineer's your primary task is to seamlessly integrate various functional blocks and components onto a single chip, ensuring they work together as a cohesive whole; This involves floor planning, interconnect design, and physical verification at the chip level to meet performance, power, and area requirements
• Evaluate and spread innovative and efficient methods for IC/SoC development and integration based on internal and external tools
• Give technical guidance for less experienced team members

You see ´the big picture’ of the projects and know where and how you and your concept can contribute best – also by sometimes thinking in unconventional ways. Furthermore, you like to consult colleagues using your expert knowledge on concept and IC development & functional safety and establish stable networks.

You are best equipped for those tasks if you have:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Informatics or similar qualification
• At least 5 years of experience in IP/SoC integration on chip top level
• Excellent knowledge of Innovus/IC Compiler as well as Virtuoso for top level integration
• Very good knowledge working with Calibre tools used for physical verification
• Good knowledge in scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Python)
• First experiences with power analysis tools like RedHawk and Voltus would be a plus
• Fluent English presentation skills - German language is an advantage
