Your Schedule:

Shift: Days 5:00AM to 1:30PM with rotating weekends

Status: Full-time (80 hours per pay period)

What You’ll Do:

As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for obtaining quality blood samples from patients using various phlebotomy methods such as venous, heel stick, and capillary. You will ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and collection procedures for all age groups. Your duties will include:

  • Performing inpatient and outpatient venipuncture, specimen transport, and delivery as needed.
  • Registering patients and entering test orders into the system.
  • Working with a variety of computer programs and systems to ensure accurate records.
  • Performing miscellaneous office functions such as answering phones, distributing faxes, maintaining inventory, and checking refrigeration as required.
  • Interacting with patients in a friendly and caring manner to provide a secure and pleasant experience.
  • Supporting evening, night, weekend, or holiday shifts for both inpatient and outpatient specimen collection.
  • Traveling as necessary to perform specimen collection.
  • Maintaining compliance with all regulatory and laboratory guidelines.

What We’re Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a phlebotomy training program or equivalent experience within one year.
  • Computer keyboard skills and the ability to navigate various programs and systems.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and/or basic anatomy is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, adapt to changing healthcare regulations, and meet the needs of patients.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently required to lift objects up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
  • Moderate bending, reaching, and stooping.
  • Required to be on your feet for extended periods of time during shifts.
  • Tasks involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, with strict adherence to safety protocols.
