Receptionist- Ambulatory Surgical Center-Part-Time

Riverside Eye Surgery Center is seeking an ASC Receptionist to work in their Lewiston, Maine office to play a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for patients undergoing surgical procedures at Riverside Eye Surgery Center. This position supports the daily operations of the ambulatory surgery center through patient-facing responsibilities and essential administrative and logistical tasks. This is a 28 hour/ week position.

Requirements of the ASC Receptionist:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous medical office or surgical center experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with computers and Electronic Health Record systems.
• Ability to work 10-hour days on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Responsibilities of the ASC Receptionist:

• Greet and check in patients on surgery days in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Collect and process payments at time of service.
• Prepare patient charts and complete chart takedown.
• Receive deliveries and assist with putting supplies away as needed.
• Assist with ordering surgical and office supplies.
• Manage lens inventory and place lens orders as directed.
• Escort patients or assist with patient flow as needed to support clinical staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the ASC Nurse Manager.
