Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated Junior Electrical Engineer to join our hardware development team. This role will focus on supporting the design validation, test, and troubleshooting of electronic hardware systems. You’ll work closely with senior engineers on prototype bring-up, functional testing, and root cause analysis of electronic boards and systems in a fast-paced product development environment.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on in the lab and is eager to grow into a circuit design and PCB layout role using Altium Designer.
This is a high-growth opportunity—engineers who demonstrate strong motivation, technical curiosity, and consistent performance will have the chance to take on expanded responsibilities and progress quickly into design ownership roles.
A Day in the Life:
- Initial focus on testing and validating battery management hardware designs.
- Set up and operate lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, signal generators, and multimeters.
- Execute test plans, procedures, and data collection under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Document test results and present technical reports.
- Designing PCBs for battery management systems and test hardware in Altium Designer (schematic capture and board layout).
- Troubleshoot hardware failures and assist in root cause analysis
- Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering teams
- Communicate technical progress to clients and internal team members.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
- 0-2 years of electrical engineering experience (internships, co-op positions, design focused lab work, or competitions included)
- Experience designing PCBs (schematic capture and board layout), bring up and testing
- Experience operating lab bench equipment (soldering, oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads…etc.)
- Experience with circuit simulation tools (LTSpice, etc)
- Experience collaborating in a team environment across engineering disciplines
- Experience documenting engineering design work
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Enthusiasm for learning
- Experience working with systems containing lithium-ion batteries
- Experience with designing prototypes and system integration
- Experience in Altium Designer or other PCBA design tools
- Experience designing and analyzing both digital and analog circuits
