Your opportunity:

As an Automation Technician I, II, or III you will design, build, wire, assemble, and install electrical controls used in machines and tooling systems. Responsible for basic programming of one or more of the following: HMI, PLC. As an Automation Technician III you will handle work that is becoming more complex.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Write PLC-HMI program using various software packages.
  • Create electrical schematics and electrical cabinet layout using AutoCAD Electrical, Build, and wire electrical panels.
  • Typical programs would be medium complexity machine control.
  • Design medium complexity machine guarding strategies that comply with OSHA and ANSI standards, to ensure the safety of our Greenheck teammates.
  • Wire external machine components to electrical cabinet.
  • Develop electrical parts list for the project.
  • Order parts for projects using Ariba Purchasing system Power up, troubleshoot, and commission machine to make production ready.

What you should have:

  • 0-6 years of relevant work experience is required.
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree in Electromechanical Technology, Automation Engineering Technology, or related field or equivalent years of job experience required.
  • AutoCAD or Drafting software
  • Basic PLC training
  • Basic HMI Programming

  • Monday - Friday - First shift hours
  • Minimal travel
  • Must be able to work on-site at our Schofield, WI location
  • Will work in a brand-new facility

The starting base pay range for this position is $27.19/hour - $43.24/hour and may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.

The person is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data, and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Occasional mobility required to attend in-person meetings and complete various office tasks. Work may be performed in company’s setting, home, or hybrid.
