Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President - Data Engineering Lead – Agentic AI!

In this role, you'll be part of Genpact's transformation under GenpactNext, as we lead the shift to Agentic AI Solutions—domain-specific, autonomous systems that redefine how we deliver value to clients. You'll help drive the adoption of innovations like the Genpact AP Suite in finance and accounting, with more Agentic AI products set to expand across service lines.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an AVP to lead data engineering teams in designing and delivering modern, scalable data solutions using Azure’s advanced services. This role focuses on building enterprise-grade architectures, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering collaboration across teams.

Leadership and Team Management

• Recruit, mentor, and manage data engineering teams, driving alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure seamless data workflows.
• Deliver Azure-based data projects on time, emphasizing scalability and innovation.

Azure Data Architecture

• Design and implement data solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Databricks, and Data Lake Storage.
• Develop real-time and batch processing pipelines with Azure Event Hubs, Stream Analytics, and Functions.
• Optimize data storage and integration using Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, and Synapse Pipelines.

Operational Excellence

• Monitor and optimize solutions with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Manage ETL/ELT workflows for efficiency and reliability.
• Address data drift and performance challenges through proactive optimization.

Governance and Security

• Enforce data governance with Azure Purview and secure architectures with Azure Key Vault and AAD.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Innovation and Optimization

• Leverage Azure Databricks for advanced analytics and machine learning.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging Azure tools, such as Synapse Link, to improve efficiency.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications:

• Expertise in Azure services: Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Databricks, and Data Lake Storage.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with ETL/ELT workflows and real-time processing.
• Proven leadership in managing data engineering teams and delivering large-scale solutions.
• Knowledge of data governance and security frameworks in Azure environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure Purview, Machine Learning, and big data technologies like Spark or Kafka.
• Azure Data Engineer or Solutions Architect certification.
