Job Summary

As a Quality Control (QC) Specialist II, you will play a critical role in maintaining the quality and conformity of fragrance samples through both sensory evaluations and analytical measurements. You will collaborate closely with the quality control team and other departments to ensure timely and accurate results. Strong time management, attention to detail, and communication skills are essential. This full-time position reports to the Fragrances Sample Lab & QC Manager at the Hilversum Creative Center.

Key responsibilities

• Performs the sensory, appearance and color analysis of the raw materials used in the Creative Center as well as fragrances produced by the Fragrances sample lab.
• Prepares samples and performs the analysis of gas chromatography, density, refractive index, color, and flash point of fragrances produced by the Sample Lab.
• Records the sensory and analytical results, creates fragrance specifications and issues quality control documentation.
• Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of quality control equipment.
• Supports in problem solving of product related issues, non-conformances, and technical deviations.

Job requirements

• A degree in cosmetics, chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmacy, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience or familiarity with sensory evaluation is an asset (must pass internal olfactive test).
