Ergon Refining in Vicksburg currently has an opening for a Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer. This is a logistical support position to the Maintenance / Engineering Department. This position will assist in the repair and service of plant equipment through equipment troubleshooting, failure analysis, equipment monitoring, and utilizing predictive maintenance practices.

Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer Responsibilities
- Follow policies and practices as stated in Employee Handbook and other facility policy and procedure manuals.
- Strive to develop good working relationships with all co-workers, customer, vendors and Associates.
- Maintain equipment files.
- Oversee vibration data collection.
- Analyze vibration data.
- Oversee Lube Oil Analysis Program.
- Manage compressor repairs / upgrades.
- Track rotating equipment repairs (MTBF).
- Maintain PdM reports in data base
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine root cause.
- Monitor H2 compressor performance.
- Available for call-out by Maintenance / Engineering Department.
- Provide mechanical expertise for new equipment purchases.
- Establish & maintain rotating equipment KPI's.
- Make recommendations for equipment upgrade or replacement.
- Develop equipment repair procedures.
- Maintain lubrication list for rotating equipment.
- Manage lube oil sampling and testing on large rotating equipment.
- Schedule and manage contractors for rotating equipment repairs.
- Recommend training requirements for mechanical maintenance.
- Assist in various tasks as needed and directed by Maintenance / Engineering Manager
Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with 1-5 years experience.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organization skills.
- Working knowledge of mechanical equipment, mechanical repairs and vibration analysis are also required.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word.
- Must successfully complete training requirements as outlined by the Maintenance Department.
The person selected must be self-motivated with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills and successfully complete and pass a Functional Job Capacity Evaluation (FCE).
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. A clean MVR is required.
