The TECO Energy Internship & Cooperative Education Program offers college degree-seeking students the opportunity for professional growth while meeting the business needs of the company. The program is an extension of the educational process, providing practical experience to complement formal classroom work. The co-op program recruits students from colleges to give them an opportunity to work in a professional environment related to their field of study.
Position Summary/Details: Fall 2025 - Unified Comms, IT Operations Student Internship/Co-Op
Collaborate and assist as part of a Team that Designs, implements, and maintains all components of Database Management Systems (DBMSs). Learns to plan organize and coordinate database–related projects and maintenance activities. Assists in analyzing and visualizing data, building reports and dashboards for internal departmental use.

The successful applicant should be enrolled in an ABET accredited university as a college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline.
Co-Op Requirements:
Degree - Information Technology, Computer Science / Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related technology discipline

Working Conditions
A. Mostly in a normal office environment
Emera Leadership Competencies:
A pre-employment drug screening, physical exam, as well as a background check (including employment, criminal and motor vehicle) will also be conducted as part of the pre-employment screening.
No medical exam is required, driving would be under 30% if any and NERC access will be needed
Pre-employment physical exams may be required for positions with bona fide job-related physical requirements regardless of disability.
