Role Summary

Help us bring to life the next generation of vehicles by taking a leading role in managing the integration of Hardware and Software across Production and Service workstreams throughout the Development Life Cycle. As part of the Software Technical Program Management Team, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end initiatives critical to program delivery within both manufacturing and post-sales service environments. You will serve as a key point of contact between RVT and VW Group Brand program management teams for production and service-related activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support our feature champion and feature partner structure to enable them to deliver across RVT and Volkswagen Group for production and service initiatives.
  • Plan, create, and maintain technical schedules, priorities, and execution plans for multiple software product development programs impacting production and service, crossing organizational boundaries.
  • Drive broad/deep cross-functional software programs internally and across partners, specifically related to manufacturing and service operations.
  • Collaborate with and influence engineering, product, and technical partners, including leadership and development teams, to achieve business and technical goals within production and service.
  • Expertly manage stakeholder expectations, actively identifying, communicating, and mitigating dependencies and risks specific to production and service deliverables.
  • Ensure technical designs are properly evaluated for feasibility, scalability, and quality within the context of manufacturing and service requirements.
  • Provide strong leadership to unblock obstacles and rigorously prioritize issues impacting production and service timelines and quality.
  • Providing the program team and executive management progress updates on production and service milestones.
  • Conducting healthy escalations in advance of deliverables going out of bounds within the production and service domains.
  • Identifying and executing continuous process improvements relevant to software integration in production and service.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related technical fields with 5+ years relevant experience in production or service environments.
  • 8+ years of Technical or Engineering Program Management experience, with a focus on production and/or service.
  • Experience with Systems Engineering principles, particularly as applied to manufacturing or after-sales service.
  • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle in the context of product deployment in production and service.
  • Experience with Test and validation processes relevant to both manufacturing and service environments.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders in production and service organizations.
  • Expert in agile and waterfall development processes using Jira and other program management tools, with experience adapting these methodologies for production and service needs.
  • Understanding of hardware/software bring-up of distributed systems, managing project dependencies, and negotiating parallel activities to optimize project execution within manufacturing and service contexts.
  • Proven track record with software development project planning, progress tracking, and risk management, with specific examples from production or service-related projects.
