Role Summary

Staff PMT (Process, Methods, and Tools) Project/Program Manager will lead large-scale Process, Methods, and Tool Transformation initiatives within the Rivian Volkswagen Technology joint venture. This role will be responsible for driving end-to-end program execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to implement cutting-edge PMT solutions for the joint venture. Focus will be on PMT for the electrical architecture and software technology development at the collaboration interface to Rivian as well as the Volkswagen Group.

Responsibilities

Program Leadership:

  • Define and lead complex transformation programs that enhance
  • process efficiency, tool implementation, and methodological improvements
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with executive leadership, business units, and
  • technical teams to align program objectives with corporate/business strategy as well as
  • managing expectations
  • Change Management: Drive organizational adoption of new methods and tools through
  • targeted change management initiatives, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum
  • efficiency.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the program adheres to
  • scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
  • Process Optimization: Evaluate and refine existing workflows, identifying areas for
  • automation, standardization, and efficiency improvements.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry best practices, regulatory
  • requirements, and internal governance frameworks.

Budget & Resource Allocation:

  • Manage program budgets and allocate resources
  • effectively to support key deliverables.
  • Continuous Improvement: Establish metrics (KPIs) to measure success, drive post-implementation reviews, and lead continuous improvement efforts.
  • Escalate critical issues to senior management and work with them to define solutions.
  • Regularly report program status, risks, and issues to senior executives and other key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present clear, concise reports and presentations that convey progress, challenges, and results.
  • Team Leadership & development: Leading project team members. Fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
  • 3rd party management: Ability to coordinate 3rd party contributions along the project lifecycle

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, IT, or a related
  • field
  • 8+ years proven experience leading large-scale transformation program in SW product
  • companies with focus on Process, Methods, and Tools.
  • Extensive project/program management experience in agile, waterfall, or hybrid
  • methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of process engineering, automation, and digital transformation
  • strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Technical knowledge understanding SW development and emerging technologies - preferably in an automotive context
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas, updates, and feedback to various stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data, track program performance, and make data- driven decisions
  • Knowledge of budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis to manage program budgets effectively.
  • Extensive experience working in an international and matrix environment

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $173,000 - $216,300 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment.
