Senior Staff Digital Design Engineer (f/m/div)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer to be responsible for the development of CPU and memory subsystems for automotive applications. The successful candidate will contribute to the specification and definition of the microarchitecture of CPU subsystems. The candidate will implement complex digital designs and ensure that the requirements regarding functional safety and security are met.

In your new role you will:

  • Implement and/or review subblocks of CPU subsystems
  • Contribute to the specification and definition of the microarchitecture of CPU subsystems for automotive applications
  • Ensure that your digital designs meet the requirements regarding functional safety and cyber security
  • Drive technical decisions for your functional area and execute the implementation
  • Collaborate closely with system architects, concept engineers, analog designers, verification, digital design and firmware engineers to produce thoroughly verified, robust IPs
  • Create innovative architectures by using the latest techniques and tools
  • Create technical design documentation for design blocks/IPs
  • Provide technical guidance within the organization and support other departments

We are looking for someone with a passion for the future of mobility and the ambition to work in an international team. Your relationship building skills enable you to establish successful cooperation very quickly. You inspire others with your ideas and even complex issues you can explain in a clear and convincing manner. You listen actively to the customer, consider his point of view and learn from successes and mistakes.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience in defining and implementing complex digital circuits and functionalities
  • Experience in using the digital design flow including Linting, RTL/gate-level simulation, logic synthesis, STA, UPF (low power design) and DfT
  • Proficiency in HDLs like VHDL or System Verilog
  • Strong know-how in C and scripting languages like Perl or Python
  • Proven ability to work effectively in multicultural environments
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken
