VP L&L (Launch & Localization) Engineer - IMG

Launch and Localization of VP accessory parts follow GPDS/VPPDS process:

  • Coordinating Local development of body Exterior/ Interior/Chassis & Electrical Genuine Ford Accessories, e.g. Spoiler, Bumper Grille, Sports bar, Roller shutter, canopy, Snorkel, Hoop steps, Alloy wheels, Spray in bed liner, Tonneau cover, Cargo Barrier, net, mat and trunk tray etc.,
  • Create and manage commodity BOM locally and ensure no BOM errors.
  • Create and manage Project time plan for every commodity and track to meet program Milestones.
  • Take care of Material development (Plastics, Paints, Rubber etc.,) and lead all activities till AAR sign off.
  • Take responsibility of part development through validation (DV/PV) and launch including problem solving for engineering issues
  • Lead and participate all cross functional team and Launch meetings.
  • Lead and participate color Harmony, FTN and craftsmanship reviews and ensure proper sign off for all local commodities.
  • Participate & Lead build event and close all issues (AIMS) with CFT support.
  • Consult with VP LVEA to clarify engineering constraints & requirements for VP new accessory design.
  • Work with Local PM and ensure all deliverables can meet each milestone on time

  • MS or Bachelor degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Vehicle Engineering.
  • Working experience in auto industry is a plus
  • Good communication skill in English on both speaking and writing
  • Experience in CATIA and plastic/stamping tooling related background would be a plus
  • Negotiation skills working with x-functional team and outside supplier
  • Computer literacy and competency with the basic Microsoft Office include Word, Excel& Power point
  • Multiple time zones to facilitate communication across (Europe, NA & IMG)
  • Personality type conducive to knowledge transfer across cultural boundaries & time zones
