Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator I for the The Office of Summer and Winter Sessions. The role reports to the Assistant Director and does not have direct reports.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Plans, organizes, and manages the logistics and daily operations of summer, winter, and pre-college programs—ensuring a seamless experience for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Coordinates all the moving parts across planning effective programs and events, scheduling, content collection and distribution of marketing materials.
  • Enhances student enrollment and assists student success initiatives by ensuring an outstanding student experience.
  • Schedules and coordinates marketing content/assets and events across multiple sessions (summer, winter, pre-college) in addition to procurement of marketing needs.
  • Responsible for a combination of digital and traditional marketing efforts, including drafting, creating, and scheduling content (video, website, print, and event promotions) for multiple outputs.
  • Courses and programs are accurately displayed to targeted audiences for registration purposes.
  • Contributes to serving the mission of the office and working with staff, vendors, students, parents, and academic partners under moderate supervision within a positive team culture.

Minimum Salary 57356.00

Mid Range Salary 71372.00

Maximum Salary 85388.00

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two (2) years of relevant experience in a program coordination or administrative function, or an equivalent combination of education and/or professional experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of foundational office administration, academic planning, customer service, registrations, work organization and coordination.

Certifications/Licenses

  • A valid driver’s license would be required for this position; Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to attend to deatil, and have a team-oriented, positive approach towards work.
  • Ability to be computer-savvy and a quick learner.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in supporting marketing activities.
  • Experience in academic administration in higher education.
  • Video production and editing experience.
  • Experience with Rutgers systems or other university applications (Cornerstone, Oracle, SAS portal, Concur, PeopleSoft) and databases, as well as experience with Salesforce, Constant Contact, Qualtrics.
  • Previous work experience in a university environment.
