CAD Design Engineer (F/M/D)

Responsibilities:

  • Creation of 2D drawings and detailed schematics using CAD Software - Catia V5 according to industry standards for automotive
  • Create 3D models using CAD Software Catia V5
  • Apply plastic design and simulation experience to projects
  • Perform tolerance calculations and ensure compliance with GD&T standards such as DIN, ISO and ASME
  • Independent work according to internal guidelines and specifications
  • Collaboration with global project teams in EMEA, APAC and Americas regions in fluent English
  • Understanding of PPAP and FMEA processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, as a technical engineer, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the 2D or 3D design, simulation and development of injection molding plastic components
  • Proficiency in CAD for automotive design and development projects - CATIA V5, Siemens NX or similar
  • Knowledge of GD&T standards (DIN ISO and ASME), background with tolerance calculation
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with international teams
  • Background in working with cross-functional teams within the automotive industry
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
