Systems Engineer

Job Description

As a Software Systems Engineer, you will utilize your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify, and improve cutting-edge products and services. You will develop complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, guiding them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of software practices and terminology, enabling them to identify when to raise questions to ensure the successful completion of tasks. You should be bright, imaginative, and a capable technologist with excellent communication skills, seeking an environment where you can influence the direction of the organization and be a key contributor to the overall success of the business.

Responsibilities

• Research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify, and improve cutting-edge products and services.
• Develop complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms.
• Guide projects from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test.
• Utilize software architecture, requirements management, and system modeling tools.
• Create and manage software interface control documents.
• Administer baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting.
• Conduct high impact trade studies and establish key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM).

Essential Skills

• Experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE).
• Proficiency in software architecture and interface control documents.
• Experience in requirements management and system modeling tools such as CAMEO.
• Ability to decompose requirements and design.
• Knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles.
• Experience or certification in INCOSE standards.
• Experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
• Exposure to establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $81.25/hr.
