Job Description:
Using Autodesk Moldflow computer aided engineering simulation software, this position will be responsible for recommending injection molded part design modifications, optimization of injection mold design and molding process conditions, and provide technical support for injection molded part issues such as failures due to short shot, warpage, cracking, and tolerances. The successful candidate should be knowledgeable in injection molded part design, injection mold design, polymers and injection molding processing and part inspection procedures. This position requires close interaction with Part Designers, Component Engineers, Development Engineers, Designers and external customers. In addition, the person in this position will act as a mentor of plastics engineering principles and part design to Development Engineers and Designers.
