In this position...
The Thermal Systems team is seeking an individual to lead engineering of the Air Handling Subsystem (AHSS).
This role will develop and optimize components for air delivery to drive the overall system to deliver maximum performance and efficiency. The AHSS development process includes CAE/CFD, Bench, and Vehicle testing. In this role, you will work with a broad range of interfacing teams including Studio, Body Exterior & Interior, Program, EVEMS, IPTSE, Controls & Calibration, and VO Plants.

You'll have...
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 7+ years of experience in Automotive industry.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Air-Handling Sub-systems and/or Thermal Systems.
Even better, you may have...
Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, or related field.
Ability to lead a team of engineers with varied levels of experience in air-handling and CFD.
Understanding of the Ford GTDS and/or GPDS.
Proficiency in TcVis Mockup, 3DX, Teamcenter, FEDE.
Proficiency in CFD Software (ANSYS, StarCCM+, OpenFoam, etc.).
Proficiency in meshing software (ANSA, Hypermesh).
Proficiency in optimization methodology.
Experience in thermal system attributes including climate comfort .
Experience in testing components and sub-systems as it relates to Thermal Systems.
Deep understanding of requirements as it relates to Thermal Systems and Air -Handling Subsystem.
Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues and efficiently communicate results to management.
Work in a flexible environment transforming unclear information into concise deliverables.
Design & Release experience and vehicle launch.
Ability to recognize shortcomings of current processes and devise improved methods to improve quality/cost/timing.
Demonstrated ability to work across organizations in a collaborative manner.
Strong communication skills.
