This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable individual to provide respite care for a young girl. In this 1:1 role, you will focus on ensuring safety, offering supervision, and assisting with daily living skills in a nurturing and supportive environment. This part-time position offers a fulfilling opportunity to make a positive difference while engaging in fun and developmental activities with the child.

Compensation:

$14.13 per hour

Schedule:

• 1 Weekend per month respite
• Care Provided in the community and in childs home
• Looking for an active provider that enjoys sports, gaming and scary movies to enjoy with the child.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to set firm boundaries that are healthy and beneficial to the child and manage behaviors
• Provide 1:1 safety supervision and support based on the child’s individual needs
• Assist with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, hygiene routines, and basic household chores
• Engage the child in age-appropriate activities that promote social and emotional growth
• Build a positive, supportive relationship with the child, helping to foster independence and confidence
• Maintain open communication with the child’s parents or guardians, reporting on progress and any concerns

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children 1:1
• Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow customized care plans and adapt to the child’s unique needs

Requirements:

• Preference of experience working with children with special or behavioral needs
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for position
• Ability to pass a criminal/caregiver background check
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
