At L&P Aerospace, we specialize in creating complex tube and duct assemblies using high-performance materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure, temperature, and chemical interaction.

After our materials have gone through the necessary processes, we are left with high-performance finished goods that are ready to be incorporated into assemblies for our customers.

POSITION SUMMARY: An Engineering Intern is a hands-on position working under the direction of the Engineering team to assist and perform basic manufacturing engineering duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in key engineering projects including:
  • Designing and maintaining manufacturing documentation including work instructions.
  • Assisting with simple modeling for fixturing and tooling.
  • Dispositioning of non-conforming material including investigating the root cause and implementing corrective action.
  • Utilizing MRP/ERP system to update manufacturing routers and bills of material.
  • Conducting time studies to update standards and identify OFI’s.
  • Modifying QMS documents.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and sequences.
• Ability to read and understand technical blueprints and drawings.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office and Solid Works.
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Manufacturing or Engineering.
