About The Job

Staff Robotics Applications Engineer

Analog Devices is one of the most innovative companies in the world. We are now growing our Robotics System Applications team. Robots are the icon of the digital era and are the most important interface between AI and the physical world. AI is in fact fuelling a Robot Revolution and ADI is central to how these robots operate. How they move, sense their environment, and intelligently interact with the environment.

The Robotics team at Analog Devices develops leading intelligent edge solutions for Industrial and Collaborative Robots, End-of-Arm Tools, Mobile Robots (AMR/AGV), and emerging platforms such as Humanoids and Drones. These solutions leverage ADI’s extensive technology portfolio—from integrated circuits and subsystems to artificial intelligence.

We are expanding our Robotics System Applications team and are seeking an experienced and innovation-driven engineer to lead the development of advanced system solutions for Mobile Robots (AMR/AGV).

The System Applications team is responsible for creating advanced, system-level technical solutions that drive revenue growth and expand market share in the robotics sector. This includes the development of signal chains, block diagrams, and complete system architectures. The team also plays a key role in building strong customer relationships and collaborating across ADI to deliver both immediate and long-term value.

This role is ideal for an engineer with a passion for robotics and a strategic mindset. Experience in robotics, particularly in End Effectors or Industrial Vision ecosystems, is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to influence product direction, engage with customers at a technical level, and collaborate with marketing to deliver high-impact, value-added solutions.

We offer competitive compensation and continuous opportunities for professional growth in a dynamic and innovative environment.

The Role

  • Lead the architecture and development of advanced hardware, software, and embedded systems for next-generation robotic platforms.
  • Drive system-level innovation by defining and validating signal chains, block diagrams, and performance metrics across diverse robotic applications.
  • Quantify the impact of each Technology on Key Robotic Performance metrics
  • Act as a technical leader and mentor, guiding junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams across ADI.
  • Engage with strategic customers to understand system-level challenges and co-develop differentiated, value-added solutions.
  • Influence product roadmaps by working closely with internal technology and product teams to shape future offerings.
  • Represent ADI as a thought leader at industry events, conferences, and customer workshops.
  • Build strong international relationships with Field Application Engineers by creating and delivering advanced technical training materials.
  • Identify and analyze emerging trends in robotics, AI, and sensing technologies to inform long-term strategy and innovation.

This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth, technical leadership, and strategic impact within a dynamic and forward-thinking team.

The Person

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related fields), preferably with a focus on robotics.
  • 6+ years of experience in technical development with a strong track record of innovation and technical leadership. Experience at the PCB, firmware, or FPGA level is a plus. Broader experience, especially in robotics systems design, is highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of robotics applications, particularly in mobile robotics, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with industrial vision technologies, including Time-of-Flight (ToF), radar, and sensor fusion techniques, is desirable.
  • Knowledge of motion control technologies, including BLDC and PMSM drives, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques is a plus
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence product development across organizational boundaries.
  • Demonstrated ability to align technical solutions with both customer needs and market trends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • A strong team player with a collaborative mindset, critical thinking skills, and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
  • Willingness to travel internationally on a quarterly basis (up to 10%).
