Responsibilities:

The Intern will be responsible for learning and using processes and computer system tools in various areas including:

1. Technical Skills

  • Understands basic computer software
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Understands how to operate specialized software and analytical laboratory equipment

2. Report Writing Skills

  • Proficient writing skills and excellent grammar
  • Able to communicate data effectively in a manner understandable to someone without technical skills
  • Able to structure data and reports

3. Independent

  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Puts forth ideas to improve the work environment and customer relations
  • Work effectively with others
  • Communicate effectively with Team members
  • Plan and coordinate work activities and meet deadlines

Qualifications:

Minimum:

Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, or a chemistry-related field with 1+ years of Analytics and Laboratory experience.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in a Chemistry related field is preferred with1+ years of rubber processing, formulating, and compounding.
