Microsoft is leading the way in cloud innovation by extending Azure to sovereign, disconnected, edge, and hybrid environments. Azure Local is a hybrid cloud platform that brings Azure services directly into customer datacenters—addressing critical needs around security, compliance, and operations. This transformation is taking place not only in the cloud but also across real-world environments like factory floors, hospitals, retail spaces, and autonomous systems.
The Azure Local Virtual Machines (VMs) team is central to this evolution. We enable customers to deploy and manage compute workloads anywhere using the Azure portal or Command Line Interface (CLI). Our mission is to help enterprises adopt Azure and drive innovation by delivering secure, scalable, and resilient edge platforms that enable workload and infrastructure operational efficiency, resiliency, and performance on-premise.
We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help shape the future of Azure Local. In this role, you’ll design and build robust, distributed systems that support mission-critical workloads. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy tackling complex technical challenges at scale, we’d love to connect with you.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
