Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Senior Operations Program Manager to work on the National Reactor Innovation Center (NRIC) team. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off. You will report to the Director of NRIC.
The Senior Operations Manager directs and manages the daily activities of NRIC's operations responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functioning of NRIC, ensuring operational efficiency, and improving existing systems. This role also involves improving productivity and implementing strategic initiatives. The role encompasses working across the Idaho National Laboratory, other National Labs and Industrial partnerships. The individual will support improved organizational efficiency in technical, administrative, programmatic, and financial operations to navigate the Idaho National Laboratory and the Department of Energy, to accelerate the deployment of advanced nuclear technology. The individual will actively and accurately manage an ongoing system of collecting organizational metrics and derive insights from the data they have collected to recommend organizational improvements. The position will navigate the complex environment between the interface with the program managers and the operations staff. The individual will report on the data they collect to all interested parties and create customized analyses and reports on demand. They work with communications teams to build engaging and effective marketing campaigns and function as the customer service representative as needed.

While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, and work in an office and field/laboratory environment. The job requires hand/finger dexterity to keyboard or type, handle materials, manipulate tools, and reach with hands and arms. The job requires operation of job-related equipment and driving a vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds without assistance. Sufficient visual acuity and hearing capacity to perform the essential functions and interact with the public is required.
