Land Surveyor I: B21: $54,278 - $87,046 / yearly
Land Surveyor II: B23: $61,184 - $99,658 / yearly
Land Surveyor III: B25: $69,572- 114,099 / yearly

Land Surveyor 1 & 2
Leads multiple Department survey parties or oversees contracted survey parties for the purpose of determining boundaries and topography of real property or oversees the compilation, update and maintenance of real property maps; provides analysis and technical assistance, support, coordination and advice for the development, implementation and maintenance of land surveying-related information technology/systems (ITS/IS) and applications to include global positioning and geographic information systems (GPS/GIS). Work requires contact with governmental and private entities. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.
Land Surveyor 3: in addition to the above
Leads multiple Department survey parties and oversees contracted survey parties in a district for the purpose of determining boundaries and topography of real property. Oversees the compilation, update and maintenance of real property maps; provides analysis and technical assistance, support, coordination and advice for the development, implementation and maintenance of land surveying-related information technology/systems (IT/IS) and applications to include global positioning and geographic information systems (GPS/GIS). Serves as project lead. Work requires contact with governmental and private entities. Employees at this level are virtually self-supervising and assume direct responsibility for the work product.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.
Land Surveyor I
Experience: 3 years land surveying experience. (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent).
Land Surveyor II
Experience: 4 years land surveying experience. (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent).
Land Surveyor III
Experience: 5 years land surveying experience. (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent).
