Job Summary
Responsible for basic clinical application support and implementation within the Information Service Department. Demonstrates basic computer operational skills. Should be able to perform basic application diagnostics and troubleshooting. Assists with the collection of data for workflow analysis, system configuration, testing and support. Participates in application deployment and procedure documentation. Under supervision must be able to apply software fixes or perform upgrades to existing systems. Demonstrates the ability to follow I/S Departmental and CAMC Organizational governance commitments including (but not limited to) ticket management, training, testing, implementing, and validating service requests and/or requested modifications through the department’s change control.
Under direct supervision, provide accurate, timely, and effective solutions for end user medical or peripheral clinical application device problems to ensure end user productivity. Ensures the performance, resources, and reliability of hardware and software integrations to meet department needs. May install or upgrade computer components and software under direct supervision; troubleshoot; or offer technical support for projects for assigned application and peripheral device integration. Demonstrates a basic understanding and adheres to departmental processes for change control. Maintains a level of cybersecurity knowledge sufficient to securely accomplish their job duties.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the basic upkeep, configuration, and reliable operations of clinical applications.
2. Participates in meetings to discuss team and project related activities, issues, change, communications and updates.
3. Assists in system upgrades or enhancements to existing workflows
4. Demonstrations a basic knowledge of clinical applications support
5. Demonstrates a basic understanding of and meets the service level agreements of the organization
6. Under supervision installs or applies key components, fixes, upgrades to existing clinical applications.
7. Perform basic troubleshooting activities
8. Maintains a level of cybersecurity knowledge sufficient to securely accomplish their job duties.
9. Demonstrates a basic understanding and adheres to departmental processes for change control.
10. Uses established procedures and working under close supervision perform assigned tasks.
11. Utilizes detailed instructions to perform routine support and implementation work.
12. Utilizes appropriate and timely communication skills within assigned team.
13. On call as required
14. Flexible hours when needed
15. All other duties as assigned.

The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department’s identified patient ages. Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients.
