Job Title: Contract Quality Technician
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46202
Pay Rate: $30/hour
Contract Duration: 3–6 Months
Schedule: Full-time, 40+ hours per week

Stratosphere Quality is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contract Quality Technician to support one of our valued customers in Indianapolis, IN.
This 3–6 month contract position plays a vital role in ensuring high standards of quality and compliance in a manufacturing environment. The technician will be employed by Stratosphere Quality but work onsite at the customer facility.
Essential Job Function
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality inspections on fabricated parts by interpreting blueprints and verifying mechanical dimensions and tolerances.
- Use standard measurement tools and equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM/vision systems.
- Conduct audits and inspections during the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to specifications and correct techniques.
- Record inspection and testing data accurately into the appropriate systems and generate inspection reports.
- Accept or reject finished goods based on test results and established specifications.
- Analyze raw materials, in-process materials, and final products for compliance.
- Operate technical equipment such as Romer or Farrow Arms using Polyworks software.
- Review documentation for accuracy and compliance, and maintain traceability records.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement process improvements and resolve quality issues.
- Recommend modifications to improve product quality and production efficiency.
- Ensure testing and measuring equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
- Lead activities in the quality hold area, including recordkeeping and the disposition of non-conforming goods.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quality Inspector or Technician in a manufacturing setting.
- Hands-on experience with Romer or Farrow Arm and Polyworks software required.
- Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and the capability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with a positive, collaborative approach to work.
