Process Engineer - Etch (Gresham)

As a Process Engineer - Etch at onsemi's premier 200mm manufacturing facility in Gresham, Oregon, you will work in a dynamic team environment, perform preventive, corrective, and diagnostic maintenance proficiently on a variety of innovative semiconductor manufacturing tools. Each day, you will be challenged by working on a diverse set of tools with a world-class team.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or related degree
  • 2+ years of direct Etch work experience in the semiconductor industry preferred.

Skills:

  • Direct experience with LAM, TEL, and/or ULVAC equipment and processes is preferred.
  • Fundamental understanding of semiconductor device physics.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply and practice SPC and DOE methodology
  • Demonstrated experience with continuous fab improvement in yield, throughput, and cost reduction, preferably in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Fundamental understanding of standard metrology, inspection, and failure analysis methods, and their applications
  • Advanced data analysis skills. Ability to quickly learn and apply various software applications is required.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and results-oriented attitude with a strong attention to detail
  • Approachable with an internal customer focus, Integrity, and Initiative
  • Articulate written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of being able to work well in a team environment, as well as the drive and desire to provide hands-on support for the site’s Operators, Technicians, and Engineers when needed.
