THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of state-of-the-art artificial intelligence solutions. This role demands a visionary engineer who can architect robust AI models, guide cross-functional teams, and influence the strategic direction of AI initiatives across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Architect and implement advanced AI and machine learning models for scalable software solutions.
  • Lead end-to-end development of AI projects, from data collection and processing to model training, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Mentor and guide a team of AI engineers and data scientists, fostering growth and technical excellence.
  • Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and stakeholders to integrate AI solutions seamlessly into existing platforms.
  • Drive research and innovation in AI technologies, staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Optimize models for performance, scalability, and accuracy in high-traffic production environments.
  • Develop and enforce best practices in coding, architecture, and data handling.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for AI implementations.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering with at least 5 years in a senior or principal role.
  • Expertise in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, etc.).
  • Proven experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, Java, or C++.
  • Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed computing.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines for machine learning, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Background in natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or deep learning.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security best practices, and ethical AI principles.
  • Contributions to open-source AI projects or relevant research publications.

There is no expectation of approval for an international relocation for this job.The compensation range is specific to the posted job location and role and takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, performance, and market and peer comparisons. Salary ranges allow for growth opportunities as the employee develops new skills and/or hones current skills. A reasonable range estimate is $223,000 to $278,000 including applicable bonus.
