PROCESS ENGINEER

The process engineer will play a key role in optimizing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure quality standards are met.

This individual will be responsible for analysing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, designing and implementing new processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Additionally, he will be leading the implementation of new processes and technologies within the production environment and providing training and support to production teams for successful adoption. The process engineer will be in contact with suppliers to ensure seamless integration of new processes and technologies.

This comprehensive role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities to drive innovation and efficiency in the production environment

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB

  • Conduct thorough analysis of current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement new processes and technologies to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure successful implementation of process improvements.
  • Lead the execution of new process implementations, including conducting feasibility studies and developing detailed implementation plans.
  • Provide training and support to production teams to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented processes to measure effectiveness and identify further areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and materials into the production environment.
  • Work with management to define the budget of investment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance overall manufacturing operations.
  • Analyse data and metrics to track key performance indicators related to process efficiency, quality standards, and waste reduction.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to provide updates on process improvement projects and seek feedback for ongoing optimization efforts.
  • To develop procedures, instructions, and forms that can standardize and make effective the defined processes, the introduced optimizations, and generally all analysed and implemented process and flows

SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

  • Occasional travel is required.
  • Additionally, the incumbent must be capable of converting a very general definition of goals and objectives into well-defined tasks. The ability to simultaneously support and complete a large and varied list of tasks is a must.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED

  • Degree in mechanical engineering
  • 2 years of progressive experience (usually post-education) in the field of mechanical construction
  • Good knowledge of English
