The Business:

ADI’s Vital Sign Monitor Power Management IC business has been a key provider of high-volume silicon solutions for the last decades, developing key products that enable highly precise vital sign sensing and long battery life. As part of a long sustainable growth plan, we are expanding our VSM-PMIC power team, supporting the development of highly integrated power solutions and PMICs. VSM-PMIC group will present the successful candidate a great opportunity for continuous career development as part of a highly motivated and supportive worldwide engineering team.

The Team:

The VSM-PMIC group at ADI is strongly expanding its activities in wearable medical products.

VSM-PMIC team is primarily focused on ultra-low quiescent/ high efficiency PMIC, for wearable and medical applications. The candidate will work in a team with a broad range of IC engineering profiles and levels of experience, including Analog Designer, Digital Designer, Mixed-Signal Designer, Verification Engineer, Layout Designer and Test engineer.

The office site is in Milano, Assago MilanoFiori (Italy).

The Position:

The candidate will be involved in the development of IP and PMIC top level, from definition to production:

Typical IPs inside PMIC

  • LDO, BUCK, BOOST, BUCK-BOOST, CHARGE-PUMP, SIMO (Single-Input / Multiple Outputs), BATTERY CHARGER, Oscillators, PLL, Bandgap, References, ADC, DAC, I/O, SPI, I2C, SPMI, OTP, MTP…

Responsibilities:

  • Power IP Development
  • Power Management IC Development design, pre-silicon verification and post-silicon bench evaluation
  • Guidance to layout engineering team
  • Cooperation with Test engineer team to ensure correct testability
  • Technical Customer Interface Engagement
  • Enable a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or phD with 3+ years of experience IP analog design
  • Strong technical and analytical background in microelectronics and power electronics, with problem-solving skills
  • Good team worker with multi-discipline
  • Good understanding of Mixed-Signal Design Flow and Top-Down development methodology
  • Good written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proficient with Cadence Suite (Virtuoso ADE Spectre)
  • HDL programming languages (Verilog / SystemVerilog)
  • Analog Behavioral Models (Verilog-A, Verilog-AMS)
  • Mixed-Signal Verification
