Point of Care Testing (POCT) Technologist

Location: Elmira, NY

Shift: Day Shift | Full-Time

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000

Arnot Health is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Point of Care Testing (POCT) Technologist to lead and support point-of-care testing operations across our health system. This full-time role offers a day shift schedule, regular travel to outpatient and inpatient locations, and a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 for qualified candidates.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the implementation and oversight of all POCT across Arnot Health facilities.
  • Monitor testing sites for compliance with state, federal, and internal quality standards.
  • Review patient test results, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Manage quality control, quality assurance, and training documentation.
  • Conduct competency assessments and training for clinical staff performing POCT.
  • Collaborate with clinical, nursing, and laboratory teams to ensure best practices.
  • Evaluate new testing platforms, make equipment recommendations, and maintain regulatory licensure.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology (or Medical Technology)
  • OR
  • Bachelor’s in biology, chemistry, or physical sciences with advanced certificate in Clinical Laboratory Technology.
  • New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist license (or documentation of application).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel to Arnot Health sites in support of POCT services.
