Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

This physical therapy position requires the responsibility of providing evaluations and treatment to a diverse patient population with focus on orthopedic issues affecting the tissues, muscles, bones, and ligaments as well as other body parts. The Physical Therapists will diagnosis and manage disorders of the musculoskeletal system and help patients recuperate after surgery. This position requires close communication with orthopedic surgeons, primary care physicians, as well as other specialty physicians along with other medical personnel. The Physical Therapists will be required to establish a plan of care and ensure their patients are progressing. Treatment can include the utilization of different equipment and therapy techniques which can include but not be limited to electrotherapy, manual therapy, ultrasound, traction, therapeutic exercise, massage, dry needling, and/or blood flow restriction therapy.

Physical Therapists are also responsible for the supervision of treatments or parts of treatments delegated to support personnel.

SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:

This position is a designated as &ldquoSafety Sensitive Position&rdquo under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services.

Qualifications

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

PRE-HIRE QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy School/Master&rsquos Degree and/or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
  2. Must be familiar with all up-to-date techniques and treatments covering the entire field of Physical Therapy (Internal medicine, orthopedics, rehabilitation, pediatrics, geriatrics)
  3. Licensed to practice Physical Therapy by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy Association
