Position Description:

Builds and supports real-time Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) using middle-ware. Develops software solutions and analyzes technical requirements in Oracle E-Business Suite platforms. Maintains and improves Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems using Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 and Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM). Performs code migrations/configurations using DevOps tools (Git-Stash, Jenkins, and uDeploy), release management, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and application support using ServiceNow/Jira. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participates in architecture design teams.
  • Defines and implements application level architecture.
  • Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
  • Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.
  • Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
  • Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
  • Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.
  • Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
  • Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
  • Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
  • Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
  • Advises senior management on technical strategy.
  • Mentors junior team members.
  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing customized software solutions within an Oracle eBusiness Suite environment, using Oracle native tools.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing customized software solutions within an Oracle eBusiness Suite environment, using Oracle native tools.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing and supporting Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) modules (Account Payables, Account Receivables, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, Cash Management, Financial Accounting Hub, and General Ledger) for Accounting and Finance business functions, using PL/SQL, Oracle Workflow, Oracle Applications Framework (OAF), Java, and Unix Shell Scripting.
  • DE developing integration solutions to connect EBS boundary systems to support accounting business functions, including using Oracle HFM for consolidation, Cadency for reconciliation, and Oracle Essbase for legal financial reports; and migrating in progress integrations to on-premises Unified SaaS applications, including migrating HFM tool to Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and modules of Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC), migrating Cadency to Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS), and migrating Essbase to Free Form Planning (FFP).
  • DE extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data using ETL tool Informatica, Oracle technologies (Oracle forms and report developer tools), reporting tools (Noetix and OBIEE) and data warehousing solutions (Snowflake Data Lake).
  • DE performing code migrations and configuration, release management, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in EBS Release R12 to implement accounting or financial modules (Payables and sub-ledger accounting).
