Your Job:

Join our dynamic team as an Automation Engineer in Nogales, where you will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of automation and control systems to ensure the efficiency, reliability, and availability of automated equipment. You will provide specialized technical support for complex problem-solving and coordinate corrective and preventive actions. Your role involves driving optimization projects, reducing cycle times, integrating new technologies, and meeting key manufacturing metrics.

Our Team:

Within the Consumer & Commercial Solutions (CCS) division, you'll work closely with experts in production, manufacturing, quality, and engineering. Our team is dedicated to advancing smart manufacturing solutions and ensuring seamless production operations. As part of this innovative environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance technological integration and operational excellence.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead technical support for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving complex automated system failures to ensure continuous equipment availability and reliability.
  • Design and implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, driving initiatives for process optimization and operational efficiency.
  • Develop, program, and integrate advanced solutions in PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, and other control devices, ensuring functionality and scalability.
  • Oversee technical documentation, conduct performance data analysis, and proactively identify improvement opportunities using analytical tools.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers, technicians, and operators, fostering team development and collaboration on new equipment and technology integration.
  • Promote and adhere to PBM Philosophy, Quality Management, and Safety standards including Six Sigma, RBA, ISO, IATF, and CTPAT/OEA policies.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation, electrical systems, programming, machinery, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, conversational).
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as EIP, Profinet, Modbus.
  • Experience with PLC programming (Omron, Yaskawa), vision systems (Cognex, Matrox, Keyence), and robotics (Cobots).

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, analytical thinking, and effective communication.
  • Experience in programming PLCs and vision systems.
  • Understanding of smart manufacturing standards and technologies.
