Engaged and challenged… North Kansas City Hospital, in collaboration with MCC-Maple Woods is excited to offer the CNA Training Program. Are you interested in working directly with patients in the hospital? Do you have a great customer service attitude? Are you a good team player?

MCC Maple Woods in partnership with NKCH campus will host a 12-week program designed to train and certify participants to start a career as a CNA. The program consists of classroom training immediately followed by clinical instruction. During the 12 week training course, you will learn how to:

• Provide direct patient care, including bed and bath duties
• Work closely with nurses and other medical staff
• Check vital signs
• Transfer patients
• Transport patients
• Answer call lights

Required Qualifications

• Acceptance to MCC-MapleWoods. Please contact the MCC-MapleWoods Recruitment team at either get.ahead@mcckc.edu or 816-604-5254. Please make sure you identify that you are a current NKCH employee and the class you are interested in is being held at NKCH.
• Internal candidates: Employed with NKCH for at least 180 days and be in good standing in your department.

Program Requirements

• Start date: Monday, July 14, 2025. Mandatory Orientation on July 10 from 9am-12pm.
• Length of program: 12 weeks
  • Classroom Hours: Monday -Thursday-8 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Clinical Hours:Monday and Wednesday-6:45am-7:15 pm
• After successfully completing the training program and obtaining your CNA certification, you can apply for any open CNA position within the hospital.
• Internal candidates will be subject to all internal transfer policies.
