About the Team

The Security Engineering team is a research and development (R&D) team that operates within the broader Security Organization. Their core responsibility is to construct, implement, and sustain secure infrastructures, platforms, and technologies. In addition, they provide support to cross-functional teams within ByteDance. The team's ultimate objective is to serve and safeguard ByteDance products and infrastructures on a global scale.

Responbilities:

  • Explore and build the industry-leading large-scale solutions and architectures for Al for Security, including related applications, retrieval, evaluation, and processing of related data generation, basic support, etc
  • Research and apply cutting-edge Al technologies (such as RAG retrieval enhancement, Agent, post-training of large models, etc.), and implement them in production environments and customer scenarios
  • Work closely with cross-team business partners to promote the in-depth integration and application of large models in the field of security
  • Explore innovative research in high-value technologies and application fields

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or above, majoring in Computer science, artificial intelligence, information security or related fields.
  • Solid foundation in computer and machine learning, proficient in one of the programming languages, such as Go/Python/ C/C++
  • Candidates with in-depth experience in the following fields are preferred: natural language processing, retrieval systems, risk control algorithms, and large model applications
  • Those familiar with the large model technology stack (such as pre-training, post-training of SFT/RL, model acceleration, and scaling AC retrieval enhancement) projects are preferred
  • Be capable of designing end-to-end solutions and architectures in combination with actual security issues to ensure efficiency, stability and scalability
  • Good communication and coordination skills, strong self-motivation, enjoy challenges, and be pragmatic and innovative

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have published papers in top conferences/journals in the fields of CV/NLP/ security
  • Have experience in implementing large models in the field of security
  • Have participated in open source projects or have won awards in competitions such as ACM/ICPC
