The team you will join:

Sun King’s Research and Procurement (R&P) team was established in 2009 in Shenzhen, China, and is responsible for the design, manufacturing, production, and quality of the Sun King range of solar energy solutions sold i more than 40 countries in Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Central America. The R&P team is made up of talented engineers, quality assurance leaders, product managers, and technical experts who enjoy leveraging their creativity and technical know-how to address the world’s large-scale energy access challenge. The R&P team’s innovations have enabled more than 100 million un- and under-electrified people around the world to access affordable, reliable solar energy solutions.

About the role:

This Electrical Engineer will focus on designing and developing DC/DC modules for solar energy systems, overseeing end-to-end processes from circuit design and testing to production support for Sun King products.

What you would be expected to do:

• Contribute to the development of solar hardware systems, ensuring technical feasibility；
• 参与太阳能硬件系统的开发与设计，确保技术方案的可行性；
• Lead circuit design for DC/DC converter modules, including schematic development and PCBA layout reviews；
• 独立完成DC/DC转换模块的电路设计，完成原理图绘制及PCBA布局检查；
• Configure test environments and evaluate performance metrics (efficiency, ripple, etc.)；
• 搭建基础测试环境，执行电源效率，纹波等基础参数测试；
• Partner with firmware engineers to debug MCU peripheral circuits and validate system designs；
• 配合固件工程师完成MCU外围电路调试，完成整体设计方案的验证；
• Optimize hardware modules for performance and cost efficiency based on project goals；
• 根据项目需求，进行硬件功能模块设计及成本的优化；
• Assist in new product pilot production, analyzing and resolving manufacturing defects.
• 支持新产品试产，及时分析生产过程中发现的不良品。

You might be a strong candidate if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline.
• 本科以上学历，电子工程，电气自动化相关专业；
• 5+ years of hardware engineering experience, with expertise in DC/DC power systems and battery management, and the ability to drive hardware development tasks.
• 具备5年以上硬件工程师相关工作经验，专注在DC/DC电源、电池管理类产品的开发，能够独立完成硬件开发任务；
• Demonstrated knowledge of DC/DC topologies and circuit design, including STM32 development experience and familiarity with LED drivers.
• 熟悉DC/DC工作原理及拓扑设计，具备STM32开发经验，了解LED驱动；
• Skilled in using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other lab equipment; understanding of hardware validation workflows.
• 会使用万用表，示波器等等基础测试仪器，了解硬件产品开发验证流程；
• Analytical problem-solving skills, adaptability to learn new technologies, and dedication to technical innovation.
• 具有良好的问题分析和解决能力，快速学习，喜欢钻研。
