Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our engineering team with a focus on supporting the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing products, components, and systems that meet stringent industry requirements. This position requires proficiency in CAD tools, a solid understanding of engineering principles, and the ability to perform testing and generate comprehensive test reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop products and systems for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical applications.
  • Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Quality, and Manufacturing.
  • Conduct testing and validation of designed systems and components, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain detailed technical documentation, including engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and test reports.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools to organize and present data, create reports, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Support the development and improvement of engineering processes and design standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in design engineering, preferably within pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical environments.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software).
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience in testing methodologies and the creation of formal test reports.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel for training and functional support.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environments.
  • Familiarity with ASME BPE standards and sanitary design principles.
