JOB SUMMARY:
The Program Chair, Master of Science Nurse Practitioner Specialization, is responsible for helping to plan, organize, supervise, and ensure the success of the nurse practitioner program at American Sentinel College. This position includes some teaching responsibilities.
The MSN NP Program Chair is responsible for helping to plan, organize, supervise, evaluate, and ensure the success of the Nurse Practitioner program at American Sentinel College at Post University. This position is instrumental in managing the Nurse Practitioner Specialization. The Program Chair works with the Dean of Nursing and Healthcare Programs and the nursing leadership team. The Program Chair contributes to the advancement of the University's mission and principles and the goals of the MSN NP program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctoral Degree in Nursing or a related field from an accredited college or university; must have a Master’s Degree in Nursing; must be certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the area of Family, Adult/Geriatric Primary Care, or Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner; extensive clinical nursing experience; experience teaching in an online environment; experience in an administrative role in an academic setting.
