As a Senior Software Integration Engineer with MTSI, you will provide support to the C3BM Data IPT. This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO.
Your essential job functions will include, but may not be limited to:
- Lead the integration of various Computer Software Component Items (CSCI) from multiple vendors, ensuring the interoperability and performance of the software products, and collaborate with different vendors and stakeholders to coordinate the software deployment and integration activities, ensuring the alignment and satisfaction of the project requirements.
- Expected to manage and motivate a team of software engineers and testers, across different locations and time zones.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with software development processes, including software verification testing from the functional unit level (CSCI) to the system level, ensuring the quality and compliance of the software products.
- Direct experience with multiple software languages, such as C++, Rust, Java, and/or Python, demonstrating the proficiency and versatility in using different programming languages for software development and test.
- Knowledgeable in modeling and simulation, with experience in integrated simulation environments, such as Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) and/or Joint Simulation Environment (JSE). The candidate should be able to use and integrate simulation tools and models for software development and test.
- Experience with autonomous systems software development and test, demonstrating the ability to develop and test software for autonomous systems and applications. An ideal candidate also demonstrates domain expertise with air combat operations.
- Requires significant software experience and disciplined leadership of software teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with different vendors and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with autonomous systems software development and test, demonstrating the ability to develop and test software for autonomous systems and applications. An ideal candidate also demonstrates domain expertise with air combat operations.
- Experience with and disciplined leadership of software teams.
- Knowledge of data interface standards and communication protocols including RS-422, RS-485, MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, Internet Protocol Communication, C, C++, Java, Jira, Confluence, Git, and VxWorks.
- Experience in Multi-Domain/Multi-Level Security architectures.
Ceritification Requirements:
- Relevant software development, integration, or test certifications, preferred.
Education Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Development.
- MS in the same, or equivalent experience and/or certifications, Desired.
Security Clearance Level Required:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility is required for this position.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $160,000/year to $190,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
