Responsibilities:
The Project Engineer/Project Manager II will be responsible for performing detailed engineering design of customized water processing equipment with minimal supervision as well as communicating with customers and creating schedules. The Project Engineer/Project Manager II will be responsible for multiple projects (from small/simple to large/complex with assistance) through all phases of development from design through manufacturing. This is accomplished through strong coordination and professional collaboration with sales, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, Quality Control, logistics plus outside vendors.
Specific Job Function:
- Read and interpret moderately complex customer specification/requirement documents
- Produce P&ID’s, PFD’s, general arrangements, and piping designs per established industry standards
- Conduct the specification and sizing of internally designed or externally purchased fluid handling components (tanks, piping, pumps, valves, flow & pressure sensors, etc.) with minimal experience.
- Integrate components into product system designs that meet the customer requirements and achieve cost targets with minimal assistance.
- Create detailed system drawings for manufacturing and customer documentation
- Create and release BOMs through the engineering change order process
- Create project schedules and self-manage through the design to meet project milestones for moderately complex systems.
- Participate in cross-functional design collaboration.
- Determines appropriate revenue recognition (dollars and timing), monitors costs/margins in real-time, coordinates with C&I Project Administrator to ensure timely and accurate invoicing, monitors receivables for project.
- Incorporate approved changes into work statements, cost and schedule.
- Able to execute moderate/complex projects with no assistance.
- Run customer facing meetings to establish deadlines, agree on scope, and confirm commercial information.
- Create and manipulate Sales Orders to enter BOMs, change dates and invoice project lines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering; mechanical engineering preferred (other engineering disciplines considered).
- Able to perform typical design hand calcs including pump sizing, flow velocity, CG, etc…
- 2-5 years of industrial design engineering experience, of those 3+ years designing capital projects
- 1 year of Project Management or equivalent experience
- Specific experience in water treatment and capital equipment design is preferred
- 3-D modeling experience is required (Solidworks preferred), AutoCAD 2-D is a plus
- Up to 10% travel may be required depending on the project.

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 per year. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
